Meet Team Garden Joy

Kathy

Being a part of Garden Joy is a wonderful opportunity for me to continue my lifelong purpose of teaching the wonders of plant science to people of all ages from children to seniors. I feel fortunate to be part of a fantastic group of volunteers dedicated to creating a beautiful and peaceful space for our community to enjoy for years to come.

I wanted to give back to the community. And teach the children organic gardening.

I co-founded Garden Joy with the intention of sharing with local children the joys of growing food, eating seasonally, enjoying nature and giving back to the community at large. I never imagined Garden Joy would serve hundreds of children and produce thousands of pounds of organic produce and make an impact on food insecurity.  I have been fortunate to lead this project and look forward to being a part of the positive change and growth for years to come.

I wanted to be a part of the Garden Joy team because I loved the idea and vision of the founders. How fun to be able to create a space for kids and adults alike to learn the art of gardening, how to grow your own food and to be able to participate in giving back to the community!

I feel so fortunate to call Ripon home. This town is filled with the kindest most generous people. Being a part of this inspiring Garden Joy team where we all are invested in giving back is so meaningful.

I loved the vision for this space. How everyone involved wants the space to be for the community to enjoy. Being part of the Garden Joy board has been so inspiring. It's amazing to see how a dream of a couple of women has become a reality thru the support of others. I just wanted to be a small part of this amazing team.
