Welcome to Garden Joy

a community garden located in Ripon, CA

Founded in 2016, Garden Joy was built to cultivate wellness and community through a hands-on garden program. Children who attend our program learn to garden by planting and harvesting produce to donate to local food pantries.

Garden Joy provides opportunities for children and adults alike to learn the art of gardening as well as help give back to the community!

Did you know?

20% of children in San Joaquin county experience food insecurity.

29% of those are ineligible for federal nutrition programs.

With these statistics, there is a clear need to expand food distribution to those who are above the poverty level but still have to choose between eating and paying other bills.

Garden Joy is unique to our area and is striving to meet this need by offering programs that provide thousands of pounds of fresh produce to the community and free education to local youth.
